Nicole Charley is of the Taix Band and the Wasco/Dog River Band of the Columbia River region and a citizen of the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation. Nicole works with the Intertribal Agriculture Council and  is a designated Traditional Foods Gatherer for the Simnasho Longhouse, a lifetime designation, honor, and commitment. She is co-director of the Food Sovereignty Project for Underscore News.
